Internship Program at Another Path Psychotherapy

Offering practicum placements for master's students in Ontario.

Requirements:

• Enrollment in a master’s level program in counselling psychology.

• Registration or in-progress registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

• Previous counselling or related experience is preferred.

• Must embody qualities of self-motivation, empathy, authenticity, and passion.

• Committed to supporting diverse backgrounds.

• Availability for up to 10 hours of direct client contact per week.

About the Placement:

• Operates within a small, supportive team environment, conducive to deep learning and professional growth.

• Provides a comprehensive introduction to the operational aspects of private psychotherapy practice.

• Offers detailed training and onboarding to ensure readiness for direct client interactions.

• Facilitates team meetings and peer support to enhance learning.

• Exposure to a diverse range of client issues, therapeutic modalities, and intervention techniques.

• Uses secure video software and email communication tools provided by the clinic.

• Provides a secure client management system and administrative support.

Supervision:

Don S. Hunter, CYC, MHSc., RSW, C.Hyp, CFRC, serves as our supervisor. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, providing a supportive and enriching environment for our interns. Through our close collaboration, we ensure that these supervision sessions are both practical and beneficial, enhancing the learning experience for all involved.
